There are many attractions within day trip distance. Some of these are:

  • Mt Arapiles, an international rock climbing venue.

  • The historic town of Harrow, and original Red Gum Log Gaol.
  • Rocklands Reservoir, one of the largest boating and fishing lakes in Victoria.
  • The nearby Black Range State Park. Has bushwalking, Aboriginal art, spectacular caves and truly unsurpassed views.
  • The Wannon and Nigretta Falles, not far from Hamilton; an excellent picnic spot.
  • Our nearest town, Balmoral, 14km away, was on the main coach route between Adelaide and Melbourne. The original stone gaol and court house still stand.
